13 Reasons Why I’m Glad I’m Alive

Hiya I’m back!!! Just before I get into this post, I thought I’d mention that I recently started a Youtube channel! I upload every Sunday (and maybe have some surprise videos as and when) so chances are, you’ve missed a cheeky upload! Please go and subscribe and show me love because it’s scary business!

I saw a fellow blogger (I can’t remember for the life of me who did it so if it’s you, lemme know and I’ll credit you!) do something similar to this in a post she uploaded a while back and I liked the idea so I thought I’d give my thirteen reasons why I’m glad I’m alive.

#1 – I get to study history some more. I am such a huge history nerd and I love all types of history areas. I think that’s a reason to keep going because history is always changing, especially classical history, nothing is set in stone so ya girl wants to be kept up to date. I guess further into this point is that I can get a degree outta staying alive.

#2 – I hopefully get to find the love of my life and get to live in a house with them. I want that!!! Imagine finding the person you plan to spend the rest of your life with, that’s goals right there.

#3 – One word – oreos.

#4 – Having a nice evening with a blanket and the fireplace burning away.

#5 – Allllllll the puppy dogs. I have goals in terms of how many dogs I want and what breeds are and I want them! I can’t let them down with not having a human momma!

#6 – The places I haven’t visited yet. I have so many plans to visit countries all over the world and I reallyyyy wanna do that! Hopefully one day I will.

#7 – I don’t think I could ever do that to my dad. He is still so hurt from losing his wife and my mom (I mean who wouldn’t be?) I couldn’t break him anymore.

#8 – New friendships I may have. A top reason why I was so ill a while ago was because I was lonely and I thought I had no friends so it’s exciting to see how many friends I will have in the future!

#9 – The ever-growing confidence I’ll continue to receive from my brain. Imagine ten years from now, how confident I’ll be.

#10 – I get to grow and grow my talent with cooking. I wouldn’t say I was perfect at cooking or baking but I’m getting there! And I really want to be better at it!

#11 – You get to experience love. Your past experiences were okay but not great and now you get to experience love, proper true love.

#12 – Life is exciting. Totally exciting. You never know what’s going to happen and my life may make a complete 180 degree turn and be “perfect”.

#13 – Things can only go up from here. I hit rock bottom and the only possible answer back then was to end my life, and I know I can never get any worse than that. I can only improve.

I would like to know your reasons why you’re happy you’re alive or just things that make you happy! Comment them below!

  1. Love this post and such a good idea. It’s important to show people struggling all of the great things about life. Do you have any other suggestions for curving attitudes like this?
