Hiya everyone! I got kindly sent the January subscription box from LOWTOXBOX to review over on this blog and here is the post!
LOWTOXBOX is an ethical, vegan and cruelty free subscription box that focuses on natural products with natural ingredients. The founder, Lucy, states that the boxes are for “delivering products right to your door each month that will help you live an all-round cleaner, healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. My aim is to inspire, educate and empower people to live a greener, more eco conscious life”.
Let’s get straight into the content of the box!
When I opened the cardboard, I was shown this little note which I think was pretty cute! They seem to be handwritten which is an ADORABLE touch. From the offset, it looks like a lot of products which is exciting as this post retails at £21.00!
T Plus Drinks – Vitamin Super Teas:
I’ve been looking for some healthy tea bags for a while because I am currently only using chai tea and I want something different! Every bag delivers 50% of the daily essential vitamins along with natural fruit flavours. The first tea bag is called Boost, which is a blend of yerba mate, ginseng, green tea and B vitamins. The Detox tea contains milk thistle, ginger root, dandelion root, green tea and vitamins B2 and C. The Immunitea is a blend of echinacea, ginseng, green tea and vitamin C. Finally, the Multea is a blend of rosemary, cardamom, spearmeat and 50% of the essential vitamins.
Re-Sack – Reusable Grocery Bag:
You don’t understand how excited I was when I saw this. I literally ran into my dad’s room and told him about it. I’ve been looking for a way to carry my fruit and veg from the store because I want to minimise plastic use! They are made form organic cotton and the workers are paid fair wages which is always happy to hear.
Macacha – Plant Protein Energy Vanilla:
Macacha is a raw plant-based protein shake brand. I’m not really into fitness so I probably won’t use this for it’s intended use but I’ll still consume it! It’s formulated with herbs, botanicals and adaptogens to support the body.
Coco Fusion 100 – Natural Coconut Water Lime
I’m so excited for this! I have never tried coconut water because to be honest, it’s so expensive in supermarkets and I’m unwilling to spend money on it if I don’t like it so this is perfect!
Friendly Soap – Shampoo Bar
Again, I’ve been looking to minimise my plastic use so I’m so happy to come across one of these! I see a lot of them in Lush but I was scared as I didn’t know how to use them hahaha! Each bar is handmade with castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil, lavender, rose gernanium and water. Nothing else. That’s it. HOW PERFECT?!?!?!
Peakz – Crunchy Chocolate Squares
Funnily enough I have been eating these throughout making this post! They are crunchy wholegrain squares covered in Belgian dark chocolate. It contains no palm oil and each bite is packed with B12, Iron and it high in fibre. I’ve had them before in another subscription box so I knew I liked them but it’s always nice to eat them again as I genuinely cannot find them in any stores!
Nikki Strange – Sheep Valley A5 Notebook
How cute is this notebook?! This notebook is made from a 350gsm cover and comes with 36 lined pages. This notebook is perfect to take with you on the go and to slip into your handbag – I think I’m going to use it for blog post planning! It’s made from 100% recycled paper stock and is printed with natural vegetable inks making it very eco friendly and sustainable.
Elsa’s Organic Skin Foods – Ocean Deodorant
This smells divine and beautiful! It’s full of peppermint but it also smells like the ocean in my opinion. It says that it’s unisex but I truly believe that any scent is unisex!
The Soap Connoisseur – Nourishing Ylang Ylang & Calendula Serum
Upon looking at this I genuinely had no clue what it was. But I think it’s a skin serum thing! It is perfect for me because my skin is fucking shit lately and this apparently makes the skin feel soft, smooth and comfortable. It absorbs quickly so it’s not going to leave a gooey mess on your skin (you know what I mean)!
That’s all I got in the box! I adored this box and I’m so sad to see the subscription boxes coming to an end from this lovely store. However, they are launching a new set of fixed boxes this month with themes for all the times of the year! They were so kind to leave me a discount code for you guys “PURRPALE” for 20% off anything in their store, so you could try out their new boxes if you want to!
