If We’re Having Coffee #1

Hiya pals! I thought today that I’d do a post that I keep seeing circulating the blogging community. I have wanted to do it for ages but I didn’t think I had anything interesting to talk about but I’m going to do it anyway. So grab ya coffee, tea or whatever beverage that takes your fancy and sit with me!

If we were having coffee… I’d mention how well I’m doing at college after my mental health relapse at university. If you didn’t know, I left university in September to return home due to my mental health and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I just wasn’t ready and neither was my mental health.

If we were having coffee… I’d mention how I’m trying to apply for part time work in my local area. I’ve been looking for a while and I’ve had no such luck yet but hopefully soon I will!

If we were having coffee… I’d talk about how positive I’ve been lately. My outer body is thanking my brain. I would never say I was pessimistic but my brain really has been struggling being positive, but this has all changed within the last week or so. It’s going good.

If we were having coffee… I’d talk about how much I’m getting into yoga again. I used to love it before my end of year exams in June but I stopped to revise. I’m finally getting back into it and that’s probably what is helping my mental health and positivity.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask you if you know about my latest brand deal with coconut lane. Anyone can get 20% off their checkout basket if they use the code purrpale20 which is bloody amazing.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask how you’ve all been. Let me know in the comments, I’m really interested!!!

I hope you have a lovely day. I really liked making this, let me know if you’d like this a lot more often!

  1. I love this idea! And I love how open you are with your mental health issues. I too, among all the other diseases I have, am a surivior of Depression, Anxiety and PTSD.Which are resulting from a lifetime of childhood sexual abuse. I also have many autoimmune diseases, among them Lupus and Scleroderma. We have to remove the stigma of mental illness, it is an illness like any other. It is real and life changing, and those suffering need compassion not judgement. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us/

    1. Thank you so much! I very much agree, mental health is just as important as physical health and I’m glad that the stigma is slowly going. I say slowly because it’s very much there for so many conditions but it is slowly removing am I right?! Thank you so much for sharing your story x

  2. I am so so proud of you. I know its not exactly the same but in the past I have quit jobs because of my mental health and this is the reminder I needed to know that its okay to stop because my mind isnt ready. So thank you. You are so brave. I hope all goes well xxx
