Hiya babes! How you all doing? Today’s post is just going to be a post about self love and the stigma around it.
In today’s society, there’s a stigma around self love – not as bad as it used to be, but still definitely there. Society states any kind of self love has vanity or one being up themselves when that really isn’t the case. Sure, there may be some people who are so incredibly up themselves but why should it matter? If they love themselves, who cares how much they show it off?
Loving yourself in this community is a task and an incredibly challenging one at that but it shouldn’t be looked down upon. People deserve to love themselves. I deserve to love myself. All of my chunky bits and all of my not so chunky bits. Every single part of my being.
Your body is what it is and there’s absolutely no reason you should need to change it. If your body is squishy, that’s okay! If your body is a slim build, it’s okay! If your body is short, that’s okay! You get my drift?!
I’m so grateful for my body and everything it does for me and that’s why I’ve decided to love it. Now, don’t get me wrong, it takes ages and ages to learn to love yourself. Self love isn’t something that happens overnight and may not even be permanent. What self love is having bad days but still picking yourself up from them.
